Offroad rally – a truly rugged event

Rally is a car event in which the racer would follow a set of instructions to arrive at the check point all along the route. The aim of the Offroad rally is to arrive at the destination within the stipulated period of time answering some questions along the way. As the name indicates, these off road rally races are organized events in which the automobiles which are specially designed to serve this purpose compete with each other in rugged and natural environment. The road track is normally covered by sand, stones, rocks, mud and sometimes snow too.

Automobiles designed for raid rally and off road rally:

The vehicles which are employed in the raid rally and in the off road rally are specially designed to meet the rugged pathways and to fight against the difficult road conditions. Apart from cars used for the races, the other automobiles employed are trucks, buggies and motorcycles. Roads are made tougher to test the endurance of the divers and also to check the quality of the vehicles. The off road rally events are organized in almost all continents. However, only some countries are notified for conducting these events in an overwhelming way.

The most famous rally- Dakar rally:

One of the most significant off road rally is the Dakar rally which is simply referred to the Dakar. This raid rally was organized at Paris, which is an annual off road rally event conducted by the Amuary Sports Organization. The Dakar rally was started in late seventies, but due to several threats this rally was cancelled recently. The race was open to professional entries and also to amateurs. But the majority participation in the rallies was by the amateurs. The cancellation of this great event had made the amateurs lose interest in this rugged event.
